This past week, Ambassador Hassan Soroosh participated and delivered remarks at the opening of the “Ba To” Cultural Festival, an event co-organized by the Afghan, Iranian, and Tajik diaspora communities in Toronto.
The festival was a vibrant celebration of shared heritage, featuring captivating cultural and musical performances, traditional cuisine, and exhibitions of entrepreneurial activities and locally made products from all three communities.
In his address, Ambassador Soroosh expressed deep gratitude to the organizers for their dedication and vision. He stated that the event was not only a celebration of shared cultural roots and rich heritage, but also a powerful reflection of the strong solidarity, cultural unity, and mutual respect that bind the communities together
He emphasized that gatherings such as this not only help preserve and promote cultural traditions but also highlight the important contributions of diaspora communities to the multicultural fabric of Canadian society.
He concluded by expressing his hope that this festival would serve as a model for future collaborative initiatives of this kind.
