OTTAWA: NOVEMBER 11, 2025

Ambassador Hassan Soroosh participated at the Remembrance Day Ceremony in Ottawa this morning.
Earlier on X, he wrote the following on this occasion:
"This morning, I had the honor of joining fellow Heads of Mission at the Remembrance Day ceremony in Ottawa. I laid a wreath on behalf of the people of Afghanistan to pay tribute to the brave women and men from Canada, Afghanistan, and so many other nations who gave their lives in defense of our shared values. Their courage and selflessness continue to inspire us, and their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
I remain deeply grateful to Canada, a true friend and steadfast partner to the people of Afghanistan. As Afghanistan faces a deepening, multifaceted crisis under the Taliban regime, Canada continues to demonstrate principled leadership and a deep commitment to the people of Afghanistan including through its humanitarian assistance, resettlement support, and steadfast advocacy particularly for Afghan women and girls."
