Earlier on Twitter, Ambassador Hassan Soroosh thanked the Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of International Development of Canada for announcing additional humanitarian assistance for Afghanistan in response to one of the world’s fastest growing humanitarian crises. Ambassador Soroosh further expressed his gratefulness for Canada’s sustained support to the people of Afghanistan. Earlier today, at the High-Level Pledging Event on Supporting the Humanitarian Response in Afghanistan 2022, Hon. Minister Sajjan, announced an additional $50 million in funding from Canada in 2022 for the humanitarian response in Afghanistan.
