Earlier on Twitter, Ambassador Hassan Soroosh extended his gratitude to the Honourable Melanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada "for standing in support of women in Afghanistan." Ambassador Soroosh stated that the "latest act by the Taliban is another example of their increasingly uncompromising approach to women’s rights in Afghanistan. " Ambassador Soroosh stressed the importance of collective actions in support of women and girls in Afghanistan.
