Ambassador Hassan Soroosh tele-met with Mr. David Hartman, Director General of South Asia Bureau at Global Affairs Canada who will head virtually the Canadian delegation at tomorrow's Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) in Kabul.

The two sides discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation; the COVID-19 response efforts; Afghan peace process as well as the self-reliance strategy and National Priority Programs (NPPs) of Afghanistan. They also exchanged updates on the upcoming international conference on Afghanistan to be held later on this year and the new Afghanistan Development Program.

Ms. Diane Harper, Executive Director of the Afghanistan Division; Mr. Sayed Mujtaba Ahmadi, Deputy Chief of Mission and Mr. Azim Wardak, Economic Counselor from the Embassy also attended this virtual meeting.
