During the 2020 Afghanistan Conference in Geneva, the Honorable Karina Gould, Minister of International Development of Canada announced that "the Government of Canada is pledging $270 million over the next 3 years (2021 to 2024) in bilateral development assistance to Afghanistan."
The renewed assistance includes important areas such as education, health, human rights and women's empowerment.
