AMBASSADOR HASSAN SOROOSH DISCUSSES THE CURRENT SITUATION IN AFGHANISTAN

OTTAWA: MAY 26, 2023

In a recent interview with Radio Canada, Ambassador Hassan Soroosh discussed the current tragic situation in Afghanistan and stressed the importance of 1) greater humanitarian aid with effective monitoring and safeguards, 2) stronger response to human rights violations in the country, 3) greater advocacy efforts in support of Afghan women and girls, and 4) a unified approach and more effective collective efforts in support of a viable path toward an inclusive future for all Afghans.

Ambassador Soroosh expressed his gratitude to Canada for continued humanitarian, resettlement and advocacy efforts in support of the people of Afghanistan.
