On July 23, 2025, Ambassador Hassan Soroosh participated in a conference on Afghanistan in Parliament organized by the Afghanistan Young Leaders Organization (AYLO) in collaboration with the NATO Association of Canada and the Office of Hon. MP Ali Ehsassi.
Ambassador Soroosh spoke about the ongoing, multifaceted crisis under Taliban rule, emphasizing the urgent need for a revitalized and coordinated international response. He underscored the critical importance of sustained, collective efforts in support of an inclusive, representative, and peaceful future for Afghanistan. In this context, he highlighted the significance of a structured space that reflects the collective voice of Afghan political and civic forces.
Ambassador Soroosh expressed his gratitude to Canada and other like-minded nations for their steadfast commitment and ongoing engagement in support of the people of Afghanistan, particularly women and girls.
The Embassy also hosted a dinner in honor of the organizers and participants of the event, providing an opportunity to express appreciation for their efforts and to foster further dialogue and collaboration on issues related to Afghanistan.
