Ambassador Soroosh and Ambassador Yasuhisa Kawamura of Japan Hold a Phone Conversation

Ottawa- May 11, 2020

Ambassador Hassan Soroosh tele-met this afternoon with Ambassador Yasuhisa Kawamura of Japan. The two sides discussed the status of COVID-19 in Afghanistan and Japan, the ongoing response efforts at the national level as well as bilateral cooperation and international efforts in response to COVID-19.
Ambassador Soroosh extended his gratitude for Japan’s continued support to Afghanistan including the recent Japanese assistance to COVID-19 response efforts in Afghanistan provided through multilateral platforms .
