Ambassador Soroosh Has a Virtual Meeting with CEO of the Newly Established World Trade Center in Kabul

Ambassador Hassan Soroosh had a virtual meeting this morning with Mr. Abdul Qadir Bahman, CEO of the newly established World Trade Center (WTC) in Kabul.
Mr. Bahman briefed Ambassador Soroosh and the embassy staff about the overall services, facilities and areas of focus under WTC Kabul including information sharing, business development and matchmaking events as well as market studies and networking with other WTCs from around the world.
The meeting continued with a discussion on bilateral trade and investment between Afghanistan and Canada and potential areas of collaboration between WTC Kabul and WTCs based in Canada. They also discussed other potential joint activities with a focus on women’s entrepreneurship development in Afghanistan and their access to Canadian and international markets.
Mr. Azim Wardak, Economic Counselor; Mr. Hakim Nasiry, Commercial Attaché and Ms. Meena Wardak, Event Director at WTC Kabul were also present in this virtual meeting.
