Ambassador Soroosh Spoke at the Halifax International Security Forum 2020

Ambassador Hassan Soroosh spoke yesterday at a session on Afghanistan which was held as part of the Halifax International Security Forum 2020.
Ambassador Soroosh briefed the participants about the Afghan peace process, COVID-19 situation, the new Afghanistan National Peace and Development Framework and the Afghanistan Conference 2020 which will take place in Geneva this week.
The session was moderated by Professor Ian Brodie from the University of Calgary and the Canadian Global Affairs Institute. Other speakers included Dr. Orzala Nemat, Director of Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit and Research Associate at Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy; and Dr. Rita Manchanda, scholar, researcher and human rights activist.
