The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Consular Section in Ottawa will be closed on Monday, March21, 2022 on the occasion of Nawruz.

OTTAWA: FEBRUARY 4, 2022, Earlier on Twitter, Ambassador Hassan Soroosh highlighted that "the forced disappearance of women’s rights activists is a serious crime and deeply worrying." He further emphasized that "Immediate collective actions are needed to secure the release of activists and to hold the perpetrators accountable for their cowardly acts."

The Embassy of Afghanistan in Ottawa will be closed on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 on the 33rd Anniversary of the Withdrawal of Soviet Troops from Afghanistan.
