Earlier on X, Ambassador Hassan Soroosh wrote the following on the need for a long-term and comprehensive plan in response to multiple earthquakes in Herat, Afghanistan:
“Back-to-back earthquakes and aftershocks, the entirely flattened areas, a traumatized population living in tents, and unspeakable suffering. This is what daily life looks like in Herat, Afghanistan these days. The affected areas not only require emergency support including food, shelter, special care and medical supplies but also a long-term and comprehensive response plan that includes long-term recovery support for housing and livelihood.”

Earlier on X, Ambassador Hassan Soroosh wrote the following on the cowardly terrorist attack in Baghlan, Afghanistan: " Another barbaric attack by terrorists and enemies of humanity targeting innocent people during the Friday prayer in Baghlan, Afghanistan. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. I wish those injured a quick recovery."
منابع به آمو تأیید کرده اند که شمار تلفات انفجار امروز در داخل مسجدی در ولایت بغلان به ۱۸ تن افزایش یافت.ـ به گفته این منابع، در این رویداد حداقل ۳۰ تن زخم برداشتهاند.ـ این انفجار پس از چاشت امروز در داخل مسجد امام زمان در شهر پلخمری رخ داد.ـ

During a meeting at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Ottawa, Ambassador Hassan Soroosh officially handed over the deanship of the Asia Pacific Diplomatic Group to H.E. Kallayana Vipattipumiprates, Ambassador of Thailand to Canada. Ambassador Soroosh wished Ambassador Vipattipumiprates every success during his deanship.
The two sides discussed various issues of mutual interest and the activities within the Asia Pacific Group.

Earlier on X, Ambassador Hassan Soroosh wrote the following on the devastating earthquake in Herat, Afghanistan:
"A devastating earthquake has killed and injured hundreds of people in Herat, Afghanistan worsening an already dire humanitarian situation in the affected areas. While the full impact is being assessed, medical supplies, emergency shelter and food assistance are urgently needed."
